The NT8E05CA, HECI code SNPQAGR, is an OC-48 1+1/1:N Demultiplexer. Use this demultiplexer circuit pack in either multishelf 1:N linear systems or 1+1 or 1:1 single-shelf linear systems. The NT8E05CA series and later demultiplexers comply with SONET Phase II. SONET Phase II provides invalid K-byte detection, both unidirectional and bidirectional switch-mode mismatch detection, and protection-scheme mismatch detection. This item is manufacturing discontinued. You may also be familiar with this part as Ciena NT8E05CA.
The NT8Q01CJ, HECI code SN1TDFD, is an OC-48 DWDM 1533.47nm Ring Transmit Interface. It is recommended that you do not combine DWDM and non-DWDM transmit interfaces in the same span. In a 16-wavelength DWDM system, the multiwavelength optical repeater (MOR) and MOR Plus amplifiers support up to 16 traffic-carrying wavelengths at one time. These 16 wavelengths include 8 wavelengths in the red spectrum (1547.72 nm to 1560. 61nm), and 8 wavelengths in the blue spectrum (1528.77 nm to 1542.94nm). In a 32-wavelength DWDM system, the MOR Plus amplifier supports up to 32 traffic-carrying wavelengths at one time. These 32 wavelengths include 16 wavelengths in the red spectrum (1547.72 nm to 1560. 61nm), and 16 wavelengths in the blue spectrum (1528.77 nm to 1542.94nm).
