TruePulse would like to purchase NT8E01PW and NT8E01NG for the Nortel S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 NE. This system is alternately called the FDN2400, or the Classic OC-48, Optera, MOR or MOR Plus. You may possibly know these modules as the Ciena NT8E01PW and Ciena NT8E01NG.
The NT8E01PW, HECI code SN1TAA0, is a Nortel S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 long reach 1310nm ring transmit interface. OC-48 long reach 1310nm ring transmit interface. Remember that you will need seperate optical connector kits for these circuit packs. This circuit pack supports STS path performance-monitoring counts in the add direction for ring systems. This card is to be used in conjunction with OC-48 extended long reach receive interfaces (NT8E02C) or extended long reach high jitter tolerant receive interfaces (NT8E02D). Release 16 and later software has enhanced matched-node capabilities for path defect detection, protection switching, and provisioning. These enhancements are available only if the ADM node is equipped with two NT8E01LW/PW/QW/TW/UW circuit packs.
The NT8E01NG, HECI code SNTXPE9, is a Nortel S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 long reach 1557nm 1:N enhanced transmit interface. This circuit pack is used in 1:N systems equipped with high jitter tolerant receiver interfaces (NT8E02D). It can also be used with the low jitter tolerant receiver interfaces (NT8E02C).
Both the NT8E01PW and the NT8E01NG circuit packs support OC-3, STS-12, or OC-12 interfaces in all four quadrants of an OC-48 terminal shelf.
