TruePulse would like to purchase NT8E01YE and NT8Q01DU for the Nortel S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 NE. This system is alternately called the FDN2400, or the Classic OC-48, Optera, MOR or MOR Plus. You may possibly know these modules as the Ciena NT8E01YE and Ciena NT8Q01DU.
The NT8E01YE, HECI code SNT3JUE, is a Nortel OC-48 DM-DWDM 1560.61 nm ring transmit interface. It operates in the Red band. The manufacture-discontinued NT8E01YE DM-DWDM ring transmit interface have been replaced by the NT8Q01DU. The new version of the ring transmit interface circuit packs supports enhanced matched node (EMN) switching and intermediate path performance monitoring (IPPM) in ring systems. The new version of the linear transmit interface circuit packs supports the IPPM in linear systems.
The NT8Q01DU, HECI code SN1TDJK, is a Nortel OC-48 DWDM 1560.61 nm ring transmit interface. It operates in the Red band. In a 16-wavelength DWDM system, the multiwavelength optical repeater (MOR) and MOR Plus amplifiers support up to 16 traffic-carrying wavelengths at one time. These 16 wavelengths include 8 wavelengths in the red spectrum (1547.72nm to 1560. 61nm), and 8 wavelengths in the blue spectrum (1528.77nm to 1542.94nm). In a 32-wavelength DWDM system, the MOR Plus amplifier supports up to 32 traffic-carrying wavelengths at one time. These 32 wavelengths include 16 wavelengths in the red spectrum (1547.72nm to 1560.61nm), and 16 wavelengths in the blue spectrum (1528.77nm to 1542.94nm).
It is recommended that you reserve the 1541.35, 1542.94, and 1560.61nm wavelengths for spare circuit packs.
