TruePulse has just received into stock a number of NTBX34CB for the Nortel DMS-100. But we are still looking for NTBX34AB modules…
NTBX34CB, HECI code ENPQAYV, is an ISDN SRU Enhanced, or ISDN LCM Processor module.
The international small remote unit (SRU) is a DMS-100 remote peripheral module (PM) that provides access for a maximum of 240 subscriber lines. It is located at a remote site up to 240 km (150 miles) from the host DMS-100. The SRU communicates with the host DMS-100 through pulse code modulation 30 (PCM30) links and provides a variety of services, including plain ordinary telephone service (POTS) and Centrex.
The ISDN enhanced LCME processor (NTBX34CB) circuit card functions as an interface between the integrated services digital network (ISDN) extended peripheral modules (XPM) and the line drawers. The NTBX34CB circuit card is responsible for the processing associated with
• scanning of line cards for calls
• the set up of call connections through the di-group controller card (DCC)
• the care of DMS-X messages
The NTBX34CB circuit card performs diagnostic background tasks that guarantee the integrity of the enhanced IDSN line concentrating module (LCME). The NTBX34CB circuit card contains modifications to the clock monitoring circuitry. These modifications create sanity time-outs, caused by the loss of clock, dependent on the mate processor’s clock and activity. Sanity
time-outs due to loss of clock are suppressed, if the mate processor does not have a clock source or if the mate processor is not active.
The NTBX34CB circuit card is used in the Small Remote Unit (SRU). The NTBX34CB circuit card initializes pulse code modulation 30 (PCM30) and digital signal level 1 (DS-1) links to the host on power-up.
We have NTBX34CB available for sale. Please contact us if you are interested.
NTBX34AB, HECI code ENPQN67, is a DMS-100 LCMI Processor, or ISDN Line Concentrating Module processor card. This card is part of each LCMI in offices with any application with a software release higher than BCS-27. The NTBX34AB processor card contains all the programs that control the operation of the LCMI. The processor generates control messages to the central control complex. The processor acts on control messages from the central control complex. The processor supervises the transfer of messages between the LCMI and the line trunk controller (LTC) or line group controller (LGC). The processor connects to the bus interface card in each line drawer. This event allows exchange of line card and C-channel control, maintenance, and test messages.
You may alternately be familiar with the NTBX34AB as the Genband NTBX34AB or the Ribbon Communications NTBX34AB. If you have any surplus modules, please contact us for an offer.
Beyond the NTBX34AB and NTBX34CB, TruePulse buys and sells many other DMS-100 modules. We are also involved with numerous other Nortel platforms, such as Optera S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 NE, the OM3500 and the Optera LH1600.
