The NTK552JA, HECI code WMOGATL, is a Ciena 6500 Single Line Raman Amplifier (SRA C-Band) w/Optical Service Channel (OSC) 1xSFP 10/100 BT WSC circuit pack. The SRA C-Band circuit pack is provides Raman amplification and OTDR functionality in Photonic Layer applications. The SRA circuit pack has a Raman-gain amplifier in the incoming Line A facing direction. Though the integration of OSC add/drop filters and OSC add/drop ports, the SRA circuit pack eliminates the need for 2xOSC circuit packs at Optical Line Amp (OLA) sites.

The NTK552JT, HECI code WOTRCX4, is a Ciena 6500 Enhanced Service Access Module (ESAM C-Band) w/ Optical Service Channel (OSC) 1xSFP 10/100 BT WSC circuit pack. The ESAM C-Band circuit pack is the line facing circuit pack for certain configurations in Photonic Layer applications. Through the integration of OSC add/drop filters and OSC add/drop ports, the SAM and ESAM circuit packs remove the need for 2xOSC add/drop ports, the ESAM circuit packs eliminates the need for 2xOSC circuit packs at at Optical Line Amp (OLA) sites. Conveniently, the ESAM circuit pack also provides OTDR functionality.

The Ciena 6500 is an integrated multi-service SONET/SDH and metropolitan dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) optical platform for converged time division multiplexing (TDM), data, wavelength, and transparent services transport.

In addition to the NTK552JA and NTK552JT, TruePulse is searching for multiple other circuit packs for the Ciena 6500.  We are also interested in Ciena circuit packs to other platforms, including the CoreStream, the Optera Connect DX, the Optera Metro 5200 and the S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 NE.
