TruePulse is looking to purchase Nortel Optera NTLW16DA and NTLW16ED modules. Both modules are part of Nortel’s Optera Metro 5100/5200 product family.

Manufacturing support has long been discontinued, but OM5100 and OM5200 networks continue to operate around the world.  As you decommission yours, we are looking to purchase some of the modules.  Currently, we are looking to purchase:

The NTLW16DA, HECI code WMTN70E, is a Nortel Optera 5200 OTR Band 4 Channel 1.

The NTLW16ED, HECI code WMTJW30, is a Nortel Optera 5200 OTR Band 5 Channel 4 with no C/T.

As the Nortel optical transport product line was sold to Ciena, these boards may also be known as the Ciena NTLW16DA and Ciena NTLW16ED.

The OTR (Optical TranspondeR) combines the functionality of the OCI and the OCLD into a single interface. Like the OCI/OCLD interfaces, OTRs can be deployed in protected or unprotected applications.

The OCI performs the client adaptation and interfaces with the numerous protocols and service types available at the metro edge. Sub Rate Multiplexing (SRM) OCI modules are deployed for optimal utilization of the wavelength.

In addition to the NTLW16DA or NTLW16ED modules available, please let us know if you have any other Nortel OM5200 modules available.  We are also interested in other Nortel optical platforms, including the OME 6500, the DMS-100, the OM 3500 and the S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 NE.  Please tell us about any surplus Nortel central office equipment that you have available.
