TruePulse is actively seeking Nortel Optera 3500 OC-48 boards NTN442AM and NTN442EA.   They may also be known as the Ciena OM3500 NTN442AM and the Ciena OM3500 NTN442EA.

The NTN442 series are OC-48 DWDM interface cards for the OM3500 that are each specific to a certain wavelength. TruePulse is actively searching for:

  • NTN442AM, HECI code SOCPAA1, is an OM3500 OC-48/STM-16 LR DWDM circuit pack, 1531.90nm
  • NTN442EA, HECI code SOC1V0G, is an OM3500 OC-48/STM-16 LR DWDM circuit pack, 1535.04nm

The Nortel Optical Metro 3500 network element is a multiservice platform offering dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM).  For STX based configurations, the Optical Metro 3500 is optimized for broadband services, namely Gigabit Ethernet, Storage Area Networking, and switched Ethernet services using Resilient Packet Ring. When configured for STX based configurations, the platform supports full TDM services as well, with full fill OC-12/STM-4 and OC-48/STM-16 densities. Furthermore, DS1 services are still possible via the DS1 Service Module (DSM) or the MS DSM. For STX based configurations where VT1.5 level management is required, a dual node configuration can be used where by a VTX based Optical Metro 3500 is subtended from a STX based Optical Metro 3500. Both nodes are managed via Site Manager, which provides end-to-end connection management capability.

TruePulse is looking for other OM3500 cards too.  In addition, we are searching for other Nortel optical transport platforms such as the Nortel Optera LH1600, Optera Metro 5100 / 5200, and the OME 6500.
