TruePulse is looking for a FB-16305-1A and a FB-16579-A for the GTE GTD-5.

We are currently looking to purchase:

The FB-16305-1A, HECI code EGPQADB, is a GTD-5 PS Left Card.  You may also be familiar with it as the FB016305-1A or the AG FB-16305-1A.

The FB-16579-A, HECI code EGPQCCV, is a GTD-5 EBUD EXPN BUS UN DCODE.  You may also be familiar with it as the FB016579-A as the AG FB-16579-A

The GTD-5 EAX serves a wide range of applications in local and toll networks accommodating small rural communities to larger metro areas.  You are probably familiar with the GTD-5 under the GTE brand, but also possibly AG Communications, which was a joint venture between GTE and AT&T.  The AT&T portion ownership was included in the spin-off to Lucent Technologies.

The GTD-5 is a distributed system consisting of a Base Unit (BU), which is capable of serving three types of remote units, applied as either pair-gain or switching systems.  The three types of remote units are:

  • Remote Switching Units (RSU’s)
  • Remote Line Units (RLU’s)
  • Multiplexing Units (MXU’s)

The BU serves all three types of remote units, which are connected via digital T1 facilities and controlled by means of an internal form of common channel signalling via digital channels.  The BU is arranged with Common Channel Interoffice Signalling (CCIS) as well as traditional per trunk signalling.

In addition to the FB-16305-A and FB-16579-A, TruePulse is interested in other cards for the GTD-5.  We also buy and sell other voice switching equipment including the Lucent 5ESS, Nortel DMS and Nortel Succession CS2000.  If you have any available, please let us know.
